My Style. Nuevo 70’s

You style mavens must know that I’m completely embracing a trend if I am willing to dive in and abandon my minimalist roots in pursuit of donning it. I’ve recently been experimenting with the nuevo 70’s aesthetic that has recently been so populat in this mad world of fashion, and I must admit that the fresh take on the decade has me feeling quite excited about fashion again.

This pursuit of modernizing the bohemian style of one of the most influential decades in fashion includes the mixing of modern masculine pieces with classic whimsical staples from the era. With this particular outfit, I took a very tailored culotte romper and layered a printed blouse underneath. However, with its bold print and trumpet sleeves, this piece could stand out on its own with even a simple pair of jeans and boots. And even I was a skeptic when it came to the season’s bold prints, but their geometric shapes have enticed me. Now, even I can’t help but to get excited about the direction that fashion is taking in pursuit of making something that would once seem dated, seem quite fresh again.
